"Spirit Buffalo "

First Nations Plains People, before the introduction of the horse to the plains,

held in very high esteem, White Buffalo Medicine. The very existence of the People

depended almost entirely on the migration of the great herds of buffalo for their

yearly supply of food, clothing and shelter. The sighting of one of these

magnificent creatures, so rare and so beautiful, was a symbol of big medicine and

ensured a prosperous year.
